A much-loved and much missed Godmother.
What happy memories our family will treasure of Nancy - always welcoming us into her home with Peter with such warmth and humour - and taking such an interest in our boys as they've been growing up (especially in the cricket!). Our friendship over the last 25 years has been one of life's great blessings. What a wonderful and inspiring woman to have known. With our love Julie Nick Leo and James xxx
An accidental encounter - “shall I take your poubelle?” – on vacation in Brittany, more than 40 years ago. Since then a lifelong friendship. Solihull, Nijmegen, Dorridge and Maastricht, exploring the Lake District, relive the liberation of the Netherlands, playing cricket on Newquay beach, guided tours in the Cotwolds. We cherish all these precious memories. We will remember dear Nancy as a warm and welcoming friend, a master of English breakfast , an autonomous, outspoken woman and….very British! She lived a long and meaningful live, of which almost 70 years with Peter. These days our thoughts are with him and the Andrews family.
