I first met Nancy on one of my annual visits to the Charity Christmas card shop in Knowle. It was upstairs in the library and was a little gem with its grotto-like appearance. Lights, trees and baubles lit up the room surrounding the Christmas cards and the 'fripperies' as Nancy called them (everything else apart from the cards).
A chance conversation led to me spending many happy hours working with all the volunteers there in Knowle. What fun it was! I have very fond memories of an amazing lady who gave so much to worthwhile causes and influenced other people in her lifetime, one of them being me.
